This booklet was designed as an outreach to communities in Rwanda and DR Congo where alcoholism and other addictions are very common. It has the Scriptures in the text so that if the people do not have Bibles, they can still read the Scriptures and answer the questions. We have Bible study leaders we will be training also in leading group studies with these teaching materials.

Equip Disciple's Ebola Awareness Projects: Sign Language Version and Kinyarwanda Version
Ebola Film- Last year our ministry produced an Ebola awareness film that sought to educate churches and unbelievers on how to keep their communities safe and how to pray and minister to those infected with the virus. The film was shown on several tv stations in various locations in DR Congo, and the audio on some radio stations. We are now working on a Sign Language version of the film. This past July we worked with local deaf translators in Rwanda and Congo to video a translation of our current film and to update our current film with new vaccine information. We also recorded a Kinyarwandan version of the film and will be editing that film soon. Our Sign Language version will be completed this month and sent to Congo where our deaf Bible study groups will be inviting hearing-impaired individuals to attend the film. This will be a great outreach to this language group for the Gospel and to save lives. Showing the film to the deaf does require some funding. The deaf are among the poorest in Congo. In order for them to be able to come to the film, many of them need transport. You can give to this project on our donation page, by designating your contribution as Ebola Sign Language Project.
Check out our Music Video project between our supporters here and the manager of our ministry in Rwanda. We put in some musical instruments from the USA with an African guitar and drum flare- to the well known, Here I am to Worship song.
Music is a wonderful vehicle for uplifting our spirits, focusing our attention on God, helping us to pray, teaching us God's Word, and proclaiming the Gospel. Our new song, "No Coincidence," bears witness to some of the OT prophecies of Jesus and their fulfillment in the NT. Click on the image to view the video. It is currently showing on some tv stations in Rwanda.
"You Are His," A New Music Video by Jessica Friberg, encouraging believers to be steadfast and rely on God to help them in times of discouragement. Filmed and Edited in Rwanda by our friends and partners in the Gospel there.
Some of our former team members joined us for our annual fundraising dinner at First Baptist Church Arlington in January. We had a great time sharing stories and BBQ as we heard our guest speaker, Pascal Ndagijimana, from Rwanda. We are gearing up for a new year of ministry and need supporters for our staff in the following year. Check out our staff needs under the donations tab above. And thank you for your prayer and support over the past year!
We have added three new books to our discipleship curriculum this year. The books are written for Africa, but can minister to others also. Go to our Resources Tab above and click on Health. There you will need to scroll down to see our new booklets: Is a Past Traumatic Event Affecting your Life and Relationships? For Victims of Domestic Violence; and How to Care For Someone with Malaria. In response to the Ebola outbreaks in DR Congo this year, we have also produced a pamphlet which has been widely distributed and taught through our Bible Study groups in Congo.
Click on the image below to see the Ebola You Tube Video. This video is currently being shared with our Bible Study leaders in various locations in DR Congo, where the Ebola Outbreak is currently active. The film has a strong Gospel message and presents the Ebola prevention information from a faith perspective. The film is a dramatization along with Medical and practical information. It was filmed in Rwanda by our friend, Sam Kent and Bora Productions. If you know anyone in eastern DR Congo, who would benefit from the film, please share with the the link from You Tube.
Recently we visited one of our supporting churches, Waples UMC in Granbury, Texas! They always bless us with their love and prayers, and support. They feel like part of our family, and have encouraged us so much through the years. We always consider it a blessing of God, and know that their prayers are surrounding us as we travel.
Equip Disciples has produced a new music discipleship video! No matter what you are facing, God is always there to help you. You can check it out below.
