Equip Disciples is governed by its Board of Directors. The Board currently consists of seven members including the founders Joe and Tammie Friberg, along with Jeff Caffey, Phyllis Hardy, Amy Dean, and Brandon and Verona Laird.

If somebody overpowers one person, two can resist him.

Jeff Caffey - Vice President

Jeff is a Sr. Project Manager at Alan Plummer Associates, a civil engineering firm. He is faithful in his commitments at church, where he serves as a deacon and has been a Bible teacher for over 25 years. He is also a member of the Christian band, the Broken Cords. In addition, he and his wife Elizabeth have 2 girls and 1 boy they are raising to know and follow Jesus. Jeff has been on mission with us to Rwanda at least three times and came on our board in our founding year, 2008.

Phyllis Hardy - Director

Phyllis has experience as a school teacher and as an administrative assistant. She is married to Col. Jim Hardy, and together they have 3 boys and 1 girl they are raising to know, love, and serve the Lord. She is one of our greatest supporters and friends. Phyllis joined our board our founding year, 2008.

Amy Dean - Director

Amy has been on mission with us to Rwanda at least three times, and has been instrumental in instigating and establishing our deaf ministry there. She is a pastor's wife, with a great passion for missions. Amy is currently working as an elementary school secretary and has been on our board since 2013.

BA Social Work from Howard Payne University

Verona Laird - Director

Verona is a school teacher, but grew up on the mission field. Her parents were Bible Translators. She offers valuable experience to us as a teacher and for her insights into missions. Currently, Verona is a stay at home mom. She has been with us on two ministry trips and joined our board in 2016.

BA Bible/Theology from Moody Bible Institute

Brandon Laird - Director

Brandon is an engineer and is currently working as the Operations Manager at Martin Sprocket and Gear. He has helped us with various engineering designs for our work. Brandon has been with us on two of our ministry trips and joined our board in 2016.
